Miley attends her first day of high school, but her excitement soon disappears when she learns from a text message that Rico knows her secret and that he may reveal it to the entire school at lunch. But when Miley goes to Rico to try to keep him from telling the school her secret, Rico agrees to keep quiet on the condition that Miley will pretend to be his girlfriend. Will the act work or will Rico end up double-crossing Miley and reveal her secret anyway? Meanwhile, when a new kid named Thor arrives at school he suddenly believes that he is best buds with Jackson, but Jackson isn’t feeling the same way.

Miley gets upset with Lilly when she fails to pick her to be on her flag-football team at school. In order to stop them from fighting, Oliver handcuffs them together. But when he loses the key only hours before Miley is scheduled to appear as Hannah at an awards show, Miley and Lilly will have to learn to work together even though they’re upset with each other to pull off the show while chained to each other. Meanwhile, Robbie gets tired of Jackson not listening to what he tells him to do so he decides to stop talking to him. But soon the silence is too much for Jackson to take and he tries to find a way to make Robbie talk again.

Miley persuades Lilly to get a complete makeover if she wants to get a date for the upcoming dance, but Lilly’s not so sure. Later, Lilly eventually decides to get the makeover and she does land a date for the dance, but when her date doesn’t show up, Miley convinces Lilly to take him to court. Meanwhile, Jackson has to pick who he wants to take to a Laker’s game after he wins two tickets and both Thor and Robbie want to go.

Miley is forced to turn to Rico to help her pick up her grade in biology after Robbie tells her that he will cancel Hannah’s European tour unless her failing grade is brought up. Meanwhile, Jackson tries to get rid of Thor’s annoying pet parrot named Snowball after he starts to cause Jackson to get into lots of trouble.

When Miley loses her voice after a Hannah concert with six encores, she learns that she will have to have throat surgery if she ever wants to sing again. Miley is extremely nervous the night before the operation and she has a dream that her mom comes to visit her to tell her that she shouldn’t be worried and that everything will turn out fine. Having finally gotten tired of hearing Miley and Jackson argue over riding with each other to get where they want to go, Robbie cancels both of their weekend plans. Both determined to go anyway, they decide to borrow Thor's car and sneak out of the house. But when Thor's car gets stuck halfway off a cliff, Miley and Jackson have to resolve their differences if they want to get out of it alive.

Miley catches Lilly’s new boyfriend Lucas with another girl but when she tells her best friend the news, Lilly accuses Miley of being jealous. So, in order to prove to Lilly that she’s telling the truth, Miley tries to trick Lucas into flirting with her, but she then realizes that Lucas wouldn’t be so stupid as to flirt with Lilly’s best friend. Now, Miley has to try to come up with some way to show Lilly that she’s not lying, and that just might be getting Lucas to flirt with Hannah Montana. Meanwhile, after a pair of sunglasses is stolen from Rico’s, Rico installs a ridiculous security system to keep it from happening again.

While out on a date with Roxy, Miley finally has more than she can handle and ends up firing Roxy because she has become too overprotective. Roxy goes to take a job as one of the president’s bodyguards, but Miley soon begins to realize that there can never be another bodyguard as good as Roxy and has to go through a lot of trouble (including eating dog food) to try to convince Roxy to come back. Meanwhile, Jackson only proves Robbie’s point that boys will lie to impress girls when he tries to convince a girl that he is a motocross racer. (Special Guest Stars John D’Aquino and Madison Pettis)

In part one of this special two part episode, Jake Ryan returns from filming his movie, but when he tries to win Miley back he discovers that she is still mad at him for kissing her and then running off to film the movie. He tries everything to get her to take him back, including dressing up in armor and sending her many fruit baskets, but Miley’s still not giving in. But when Miley hears him say on national television that he loves her, she decides to give him another chance and so they start dating again. Things have never seemed better for Miley and Jake and while out on a picnic, Jake tells Miley his secret. His secret that he’s been keeping from the world is that his real name is Leslie and when he tells her, he also says that he is glad that they don’t have to keep secrets from each other and can be completely honest. This puts Miley in the bad position of having to lie to Jake while wanting to be honest, so she decides it’s time to tell him the truth about her double life as Hannah Montana. Meanwhile, Jackson gets fired from Rico’s and opens his own shop right next door. Business is horrible and Jackson can’t figure out why, but he soon realizes that he needs a product that Rico’s doesn’t have, which might just happen to be Cheeze Jerky.

In the conclusion of this two part episode, Jake takes it relatively well after Miley reveals to him that she is Hannah Montana. He tells her that this won’t change anything even though he was surprised by it. But as they continue to date, Miley begins to have a hard time because she can’t just be a normal girl anymore now that Miley is famous as well as Hannah. To hope to make her feel better, Jake dresses up in a disguise to go out to meet Miley, Lilly and Oliver for lunch so that he won’t be recognized as a celebrity. Jake is too used to getting the celebrity treatment though and can’t take not being able to skip in line, or having to get his own water, or just not having people do everything for him. Miley starts to get annoyed by Jake because of his attitude and wants to break up with him, but if she does he might tell her secret to the world. Now Miley has to try to find a way to get Jake to break up with her before she breaks up with him. Meanwhile, Jackson and Oliver’s business picks up now that they have the Cheeze Jerky, but when it comes time to pay back Oliver’s mom, they are only left with a dollar.

Miley begins to sleepwalk and blurts out the truth to anyone in her way, which lands her in trouble when she crosses paths with her least favorite teacher at school.

When Miley wishes that she could be Hannah all the time, her wish comes true and though some aspects are great such as dating superstar Jesse McCartney, others aren’t as good as she would have imagined... (Special Guest Star Jesse McCartney)

While appearing on a talk show, Miley (dressed as Hannah) comes to discover that fellow pop star Mikayla isn’t the sugar and spice that she had imagined her to be, and she can’t wait to get to the benefit concert in Florida that they are both scheduled to perform at to prove to Mikayla once and for all that Hannah Montana is here to stay. But when Robbie injures his back on Jackson’s weight machine, he makes Miley cancel Hannah’s performance since he can’t go with her on the trip anymore. Miley tries to talk him into letting her go with Roxy, but he won’t change his mind. Determined to put Mikayla in her place though, Miley tricks Roxy into taking her and disobeys her dad’s orders. Lilly and Oliver compete for Miley’s attention when Miley is offered only one guest ticket for a celebrity tennis tournament. But when Rico gives Miley his ticket to the tournament so that both Oliver and Lilly are able to go, when they get there, they both end up causing Miley to mess up the tennis match because of their constant arguing. Meanwhile, Jackson’s scheme to make Rico nicer by hiring a fortune teller to put a curse on him until he acts nicer to people and then making it appear like the curse is real blows up in his face when he has to start doing the nice things for Rico.

Lilly records a song as a gift to her mom but, unfortunately, she doesn't have the best voice, so Miley steps in to sweeten the sound with the help of the equipment in the recording studio. But when Lilly challenges Amber in a karaoke match before finding out that she actually can't sing, Miley hatches a scheme to hopefully help Lilly save face.

Miley gets jealous when her dad writes songs with Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. Later, Hannah sings a duet with the trio. (Special Guest Stars The Jonas Brothers)

When a hot new phone comes out and Robbie won’t give her the money to buy it, Miley tries to get Lilly to help her find a way to get the money on their own. Together they come up with a plan to take an embarassing Hannah photo and sell it to the tabloids, but when the photo threatens to give away Miley’s secret, they have to think of a new plan. Dwayne The Rock Johnson just so happens to be in town at the same time, so they decide to sneak into his hotel and take the embarassing picture of him instead. But will Miley be able to go through with it when she remembers what it’s like to be on the other end of the camera? (Special Guest Star Dwayne The Rock Johnson)

Jake Ryan returns and tells Miley that he thinks it would be great if they could just be friends and keep their relationship platonic with no tension between them and she half-heartedly agrees not exactly clear on how she feels about Jake. But, Miley gets jealous when Mikayla is cast as Jake's love interest in his next movie, so she schemes to get Mikayla fired from the film by dressing up as Mikayla and then treating the cast and crew badly. Meanwhile, Rico schemes against Jackson and Oliver by placing a bet with them that they can't go without showering until he gets his pipes fixed. (Special Guest Star Camryn Manheim)

After noticing sparks between their parents at a PTA meeting, Miley and Lilly try everything to get Robbie and Lilly’s mom Heather together so that they can become sisters. But when both Robbie and Heather want to pay for the check while on their date, they both become angry and decide not to see each other again. This causes tension between Miley and Lilly though because they both feel insulted by the comments the other makes about their parent. Meanwhile, Jackson and Rico decide to switch places for a weekend with Jackson pretending to be Rico and Rico pretending he’s Jackson. (Special Guest Star Heather Locklear)

Miley is furious and on a rampage for revenge when Jackson destroys Beary Bear trying to kill a wasp. In order to get back at him and make him suffer, Miley enlists Lilly to help her steal and destroy Jackson's favorite baseball autographed by once-famous baseball star Joey Vitolo. But when Miley has a change of heart but still accidentally destroys Jackson's ball in a freak accident, it's going to cost her more than she thought to get it signed by the stubborn Joey Vitolo. Meanwhile, Robbie encounters a lot of problems while trying to assemble a bookshelf.

Miley's woes about a harsh music critic's upcoming review of a Hannah Montana concert are increased when the infamous Uncle Earl shows up unexpectedly and wants to become a member of Hannah's band. (Special Guest Star Gilbert Gottfried)

When Miley is almost struck by lightning at a diner, she has a dream about what it was like when her parents met. Meanwhile, Lilly and Oliver accidentally get themselves glued to beach chairs. (Special Guest Star Brooke Shields)

After accidentally forgetting about Robbie’s 40th birthday, Miley and Jackson have to hurry at the last minute and throw together a party. Meanwhile, Lilly and Oliver try to sell a chip that resembles Darth Vader until Rico claims it as his own.

Miley has to convince a puppet to give her Hannah Montana's spot back on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after the puppet gets his bad spot switched with Hannah's good one. Meanwhile, Robbie fills in for Jackson at Rico's while Jackson gets his car fixed.

Miley decides that it's time for Hannah to change up her image if she wants to keep her fans after getting advice from one of her favorite singers. But when Miley has a nightmare about an edgy Hannah rocking out a Sunshine Girls concert, she realizes that it's always better to be yourself than to act like someone you're not. Meanwhile, Rico's antics get Jackson beat up.

When Miley spots a really cute guy at the beach, she gets Lilly to fill in for Hannah Montana at a celebrity golf tournament so that she can go out on a date with him. But when his rich parents accompany them on their date and make fun of the way that Miley and her family are country bumpkins, Miley’s feelings for her date soon go south. Meanwhile, Robbie decides to finally make Jackson clean his room after the maid quits because his room is too messy to clean.

When Oliver starts dating Joannie Palumbo, Lilly and Miley have to pretend like they like her even though they can’t stand her. In order to make Oliver happy, Miley invites Lilly and Joannie over to a sleepover. At first, things aren’t looking good for Miley and Lilly becoming friends with Joannie, but Lilly’s attitude towards Oliver’s new girlfriend starts to change when she finds out they have a lot in common over a game of hockey. Meanwhile, Jackson has a hard time on a date with Rico’s cousin because every time he looks at his date he sees Rico.

A charity auction takes an interesting turn when Miley's long time crush Johnny Collins and Rico get into a bidding war over an evening with Hannah.

Miley and Lilly are shocked when they discover that Oliver has diabetes, so they vow to keep him away from junk food at a party he has plans to attend. Meanwhile, Robbie tries to keep Jackson’s girlfriend from breaking up with him.
